📍 Destination: Indonesia (East Java, Nusa Penida, Gili Trawangan, etc.)

⏳ Duration: 1.5 months

🌟 Highlights of the trip:

  • Climbing Mount Bromo and the view from the viewpoint – magical without the tourist crowds

  • Madakaripura Waterfall – through the waterfall to reach the hidden gem

  • Road trip and beach life on Nusa Penida – incl. Kelingking Beach and Angel’s Billabong

  • Sunrise with dolphins at Lovina Beach

  • Total relaxation on Gili Trawangan

✈️ Tips & tricks:

  • Download the Gojek app – cheap and easy transport (avoid expensive drivers!)

  • Don’t rent a scooter without knowing the risks – the police may demand money for an “incorrect” driver’s license

  • Always wear a helmet – fines are easily issued

  • Check the weather forecast, especially for trips to, for example, Mount Batur – clouds can ruin the whole experience

🍽️ Dining experiences:
There wasn’t one specific restaurant that stood out – but street food and fresh seafood on Gili were always a hit.

🏠 Accommodation:
Stayed at, among others, Gili Beachfront Suites – Superior 1 on Gili Trawangan. Perfect location right by the turquoise water – highly recommended!

📝 The story of the trip:
Indonesia surprised us in every conceivable way. From the adrenaline rush of climbing an active volcano to the feeling of complete tranquility with our feet in the sand on Gili T – it all felt like a journey through contrasts. One of the greatest experiences was the trip to Mount Bromo. We went against the flow and headed to the top first – which meant we had the magical view all to ourselves. A little further out lay the Madakaripura Waterfall, which felt like a scene from a fairy tale – but with rain showers and wet feet!
Nusa Penida, however, was the place that really stuck with us: raw, unspoiled nature, but also a little wild and dangerous. The same went for Angel’s Billabong, where we really understood why you should listen to the warnings.
If you dare to dive in and follow the local advice, some of the most authentic and memorable experiences await. Indonesia really is something special!

First orders are being shipped

I receive the first collection while I am at college, so I am unable to ship the orders to those who pre-ordered. Fortunately, my mother packed all the orders, so they managed to be sent out.
