Mate · The Drawing Board
Mate is stubborn, curious, a bit cheeky, never the center of attention, not finished yet
Mate is Dreamates' symbol. He stands for those who keep going when no one is watching. He is stubborn, curious, and never finished.
Wherever you see Mate, a dream is underway.
The idea behind Mate
One figure. All dreams.
Mate is Dreamates' own character — a badger who accompanies the dreamers on their journey. Mate is always the same. The only thing that changes is the equipment: football boots, surfboard, microphone or a laptop for the next idea.
- Why a badger?
- Because the badger is not a hero animal. It lives on earthworms, works at night and keeps going long after no one is watching. It is stubborn, brave and a little cheeky – and it does not give up. That is what most dreams look like from the inside.
- Why the same figure every time?
- Because dreams are different, but the courage to pursue them is the same. Same soul. Different dreams.
Mate should be included in

- Stories about real dreamers
Help us draw Mate
Mate is not finished — and that’s intentional. Here we share the sketches, the thinking behind them, and what we’re unsure about. Give us your honest opinion on each sketch. We read all responses.
That’s what we’re asking about right nowShould Mate stand alone — or should a real dreamer join the picture?
